KATE FLATT

Kate Flatt is a choreographer and director best known for her large scale work choreographing opera and music theatre for the West End (Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof, Carmen, Dr Faustus). In 2008 Fiona produced Kate Flatt's Soul Play a powerful piece of dance-theatre, for one actor (Sam Curtis) and one dancer (Joy Constantinides), which explored the archetypal idea of 'soul' in a secular world. Scripted by Anna Reynolds and choreographed and Directed by Kate Flatt, The work paints an intimate portrait of a man on the ultimate journey, guided by an enigmatic spirit in the guise of a dancer.

Director & Choreographer: Kate Flatt | Designer: Chloe Lamford | Script: Anna Reynolds | Sound: Al Ashford | Producer: Fiona Mason | Actor: Sam Curtis | Dancer: Joy Constantinides

Following the performances in 2008 Kate received further support from Arts Council England East and the Rayne Foundation to restage the production in 2010 along with workshops with bereavement counsellors from hospices in Watford and Colchester dealing with the subjects raised by the piece.
