KATE FLATT Soul Play
Soul Play is a powerful piece of dance-theatre, for one actor (Sam Curtis) and one dancer (Joy Constantinides), which explores the archetypal idea of 'soul' in a secular world. Scripted by Anna Reynolds and choreographed and Directed by Kate Flatt, best known for her large scale work choreographing opera and music theatre for the West End (Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof, Carmen, Dr Faustus). This new work paints an intimate portrait of a man on the ultimate journey, guided by an enigmatic spirit in the guise of a dancer.

WORKSHOP AT THE JUNCTION CAMBRIDGE
The showcase performance will take place from 12-1pm on Saturday 4th October. Following the showcase, join Kate Flatt, Anna Reynolds and the performers for a post show workshop: Dancing With Words (2pm - 5pm, £6), in which Kate will share strategies for making dance using script and metaphor. Aimed at choreographers, this will be a unique opportunity to work with a choreographer highly experienced across a range of dramatic forms and to learn more about the role of the directorial voice in contemporary dance-theatre. The working process will involve uncovering and sharing stories to create context. This will be a practical workshop and Choreographers are invited and encouraged to attend with a dancer/performer of their choice.
